# \[PASSED\] OP-PIP-59: Pythian Council Election and Budget Approval

**Abstract**

This proposal aims to approve the recent election of 4 councilors for the 3rd Pythian Council as well as approving the stipend of 100,000 PYTH for the Pythian Council members.

**Description**

1. Approve the newly elected Pythian Council members

From April, 1, 2025 to April, 8, 2025 the elections for the replacement of 4 members of the Pythian Council was concluded according to the [Pyth DAO Constitution](https://github.com/pyth-network/governance/blob/main/docs/constitution/pyth-dao-constitution.md).

The 4 candidates with the most votes are the following:

- Yaser, Douro Labs — [51.8M votes](https://app.realms.today/dao/PYTH/proposal/87MZwG2A2JQABNboaYW5pUp1tHzJhZmbPNEGFFNr9DMS)
- Marc, Pyth Data Association — [7.8M votes](https://app.realms.today/dao/PYTH/proposal/3NTHMjUPcNdH5okZ9b8z5wZAXeDHGAv386FLeEg33xUA)
- George M, XBTO — [7.6M votes](https://app.realms.today/dao/PYTH/proposal/WMXCioUL7ChqBKxEQG41MNhePHfvPwbwhqEdVbb1wUM)
- Lee Mount, Euler Labs — [5.8M votes](https://app.realms.today/dao/PYTH/proposal/A4w5grZffePpJX8D4G5gi2viY3Xmj4acz9AjCgVPpGDt)

They will replace:

- Guillermo Bescos, Douro Labs
- Afif Bandak, Synthetix
- Robinson Burkey, Wormhole
- Marc Tillement, Pyth Data Association (re-elected)

And join the below council members:

- Nope — Save, Suilend
- Jayant Krishnamurthy — Douro Labs
- Ivo Galic — Trebuchet Network
- Y2Kappa — Kamino

1. Approve the stipend request to the Pythian Council members

Following the request [here](https://forum.pyth.network/t/pythian-and-price-feed-councils-budget-request/2057), the Pythian Council would receive — assuming all conditions are met — 100,000 PYTH tokens or a 6-months tenure stipend of 12,500 PYTH per council member.

If approved by the onchain vote, the stipend will be paid out when the 4th Pythian Council gets introduced in 6 months.

**Implementation Plan**

Verify the instructions of the onchain DAO proposal to ensure that the below actions are performed:

1. Remove the wallets of the 3 council members that are offboard

Please note that no PYTH token transfer are needed as this stage.
