Guide for the Community Council Election #1

What is the Community Council?

The Pyth Community Council represents a cornerstone initiative to empower and amplify the collective voice of the Pyth community. As defined in the Pyth DAO Constitution, the Community Council is made of 7 members who are signers of the Community Multisig Wallet with a 6-signer requirement. The Community Multisig Wallet has powers to perform actions that are delegated to it by the Pyth DAO.

The Council’s core mandates include:

  • Value Creation: Driving initiatives that directly benefit Pythians through raising budget requests for the term and allocating according to the plan approved by the DAO, Impact Awards program oversight, and community-first development initiatives
  • Collective Voice: Representing and amplifying community interests through governance participation and advocacy, partnership development, and cross-ecosystem collaboration
  • Network Growth: Championing Pyth’s mission through educational content and resources, community-driven research, and strategic partnerships and integrations

Each elected council member takes on a specific role within the Community Council:

  • Council Lead: Provides strategic oversight and leadership for community initiatives
  • Administration: Oversees Impact Awards, community budget, and product development
  • Impact Operations: Develops and creates Pyth community social initiatives
  • Partnerships & Collaborations: Fosters and grows community relationships across web3
  • Analyst: Keeps abreast of Pyth Governance, Product development, and competitive analysis

Council members serve 12-month terms. The first-ever Community Council will be elected in March 2025.
