i’ve been reading all section, comment in “pyth communtiy forum council v2” section Ideas bank, lot of great idea and lot of lesson, bullish on this, Good take Point of view by @SOLAR , also who ever got elected for community council my key concern is build strong emotional relationship between our community, lead by example, data driven, good character of negotiation
Is the Community Council in addition to Chirons or instead of?
Its very inportant to understand, because the Chirons are probably the ones I would nominate for the Council.
I would like to see the Council as an addition to the Community onstead of replacing it.
this proposal makes a lot of sense community council fills a clear gap by giving the community a stronger voice and more direct impact on governance. having a dedicated team will help pyth grow in the right direction.
a structured approach with clear roles accountability and a budget will ensure that real value is created for pythians also i support @Amensch proposal If we want the council to be effective we need to properly incentivize those dedicating their time and effort. this ensures that members stay accountable, focused, and deliver real value.
Related to this point, I believe there needs to be a linkage and flow of communication between the Pythian Council and the Community Council. This may be facilitated by the Council Lead or through other mechanisms. If the Council Lead serves this function, then it should be a consideration during the nomination/voting processes.
Rather than operating in isolation, the efforts of the Community Council should align with the vision and objectives (short and long term) set by the Pythian Council. This integration ensures that all community activities are coherent and purposeful.
Imo that budget sounds fair for a total of 7 council members tbh.
Although there should be a 1-2 months test in order to see how much growth pyth reached during that time.
I dont believe any initiative would show a pump in the price of Pyth within a month or two.
Im also still uncertain of the primary focus of the Council? Is it to amplify the communities voice to Pyth Council? Is it to increase the amount of people in the Community? Is it to move the price to $2-$3?
What are we voting for?
Oh, and Wen is the vote? 1 more week down, X amount of days to go
To me the Council is an addition to the Community structure.
The intention is the Chiron program would fall under the Council authority once formed as mentioned in the Technical Responsibilities (4c) of the Code of Conduct.
Chirons are there to stay. Actually if I’m not mistaken it even considered to onboard new Chirons so more can be involved in the Daily Liveliness of the Discord (and other platforms) if some of the Chirons are nominated on the Council.
For example, I have been much more involved in the behind the scenes / administration / Discord management duties over the last 6 months vs when I was nominated Chiron in February last year when my involvement was a lot in the Temple or in the waiting room bringing assistance and welcoming new Priest.
Actually I can’t wait for the nomination process to start but we need to vote the creation of the Council first
So, under this proposal, Technical Responsibilities (4c) of the Code of Conduct; if a Chiron is chosen to be on the Community Council, then we will have less hands, not more to build with. Because 1 person will fill 2 roles.
Therefore, if Chirons become part of the Council, then we will have an absence of Chrions. Will we then onboard more Chirons?
I am not leaning towards a full Chiron Council, unless the Community votes that way. But I do worry the promotion will leave us with all new Chirons or Vacancies, and a knowledge suck from the front lines of the Community (which is usually just as important as the top tiers)
I don’t see anything which indicates that being a member of the Community Council will exclude an elected person from continuing their role as a Chiron (if they already have that role). I would actively encourage any Community Council Members to remain as engaged and connected with the Pythian Community as possible. Discord is one such way to connect, and my hope is that this would help inform future council decisions and initiatives to better serve the community.
After watching our community and learning more about how our Community is growing in multiple directions across the world. I realized, and only in my honest opinion, we are fooling ourselves if we believe Pyth only needs 1 or 2 Individuals for Partnerships and Collabs roles.
The sheer geographic reach of what Pyth Network has become spans the whole world. And the Community has grown past just an Oracle, we have integrated a NFT Community as well. Therefore, I think we should add 2 more individuals for the roles. To cover Geography and/or specific Sectors of our community. I am thinking Asia, Europe, Americas for Geography is a good start. Services should be split into Oracle and NFT Collabs & Partnerships.
Thank you
I’ve always been active on Discord, but lately, I keep encountering an “expired link” message whenever I try to join. I’m not sure if the invite has changed or if there’s an issue with my access. I’d really appreciate it if someone could provide me with the correct and updated invite link. Staying connected is important to me, and I don’t want to miss out on discussions or updates. If anyone can help, it would mean a lot. Looking forward to rejoining the community and catching up on everything I’ve missed. Thanks in advance for your help!
link is in Pyth X account, thats the best way to get inside the discord. don’t entertain DMs in case you get any.
