I have a .bonk domains and now a .wen too. Love the idea of having lower level domains i can use. I’ve been following AllDomains for a while now. They seem to ship ALOT of stuff and are constantly working with partners. I also feel Bonfida just want the association and it’s more of a marketing stunt. For the record have .sol domains as well, but the Saga DAO sub domains looked crap and i never see anything regarding them

Feels like .sol maxis here want to paint the us Vs them - and it’s always a shame when community members do this - instead of focusing on whats best for the Pyth DAO. As a .sol holder first, it’s a shame. Bully tactics never win.

In terms of absolute revenues, both pricing options from AllDomains mean more revenue for the PythDao, so the percentage is irrelevant

Ethereum Maximilist even approve of .sol
ALL and Bonfida aren’t on the same level. ALL Domains are essentially just vapourware. Unstoppable domains and ALL are basically the same thing and on ETH we know to stay away … .eth and .sol > everything else

part of our strategy and MO @ AllDomains is to work with the projects that we launch with, continuously update them on new features and integrations and do co marketing
we’ve learned a lot from the past partnerships and we have a pretty good process

It still does not mean that AllDomains is fragile just because the numbers are lower. I don’t disagree with you with the numbers, it’s true that Bonfida has higher numbers than AllDomains right now, but I must also mention that Bonfida was the only domain provider on Solana for a long time until AllDomains came.
How much volume does Bonfida have on subdomains?
If AllDomains were really fragile on any way, then the top wallets or top projects like Bonk would not work with AllDomains.
AllDomains doesn’t need an NFT collection to support anything. BonfidaWolves holders are basically the same people who hold .sol domains.

Reflecting on the fact that Pyth is not solely confined to the Solana ecosystem, but rather a decentralized oracle network that can be integrated across multiple blockchains, I would posit that the .pyth TLD provides a more elegant and consistent representation of its cross-chain capabilities.
.pyth ensures a cohesive and recognizable identity, regardless of the underlying blockchain infrastructure.
While permanent domains are nice, they can become stagnant if owners become inactive, locking domains indefinitely.
The inactive .sol owner solscan.io/account/EUiAHbuJB4SU1kG8GT4Qx7mGZ6zEfmHzSsjsRCsonqsX#domains exemplifies this issue.
As an AllDomains dev, we plan to soon release a feature enabling this reclamation process.

On all Solana web3 apps, the
.solcan be truncated on the UI and remain implied (the point of this poll is to avoid collisions, ie there won’t be a an Alldomains .pyth if pyth.sol is chosen)
this will create a lot of confusion on the users and dAPPS, nobody will work on this, I can guarantee it
imagine you showing X.pyth somewhere, but the user will have to send X.pyth.sol to a friend to receive some SOL (which they won’t, but it defeats the whole purpose of domains) or use that in an explorer
In the long term as SNS continues to grow we want to be able to ask IANA (the central authority on DNS) to reserve
.sol, so that we can guarantee no future interference.
what you’re saying here is not as easy as you make it seem here, it takes a lot of money and time and guarantees
@ AllDomains we actually partnered with the Official Registry of Indonesia to launch .id domains,
which work both as Web2 and Web3 domains, both for sending SOL or PYTH in Solflare and Phantom and as websites in every browser
