Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to explore these proposed ideas and voted on this poll!

Before diving into the results, we need to review some of the events which unfolded these past weeks in relation to this poll.

The Pyth Forum was founded to offer a thoughtful, productive, and courteous system for discussion and debate about the future direction of the Pyth DAO and the Pyth Network. While most of the recent discussions met the rules of engagement of the forum, there were several notable transgressions which went against the guidelines and spirit of this governance channel.

What Could Have Been Improved?

  • The Rules of the Forum have been in place since day one. Users are expected to:
    • Engage with patience and kindness
    • Contribute positively and valuably.
    • Maintain a positive attitude.
    • Embrace open communication.

There have been recent interactions from users which ran counter to these rules, from aggressive/toxic replies to direct ad-hominem attack. Moderation failed to prevent all of these messages. Additionally, many new messages across the forum fail to bring value to the conversation and even signal patterns of botting and sybiling.

Going forward, the following set of new rules and changes to the Pyth Forum have been set in place:

  • The Forum Rules have been expanded to restrict spamming and sybilling, encouraging of others to sybil, and any other attempts to manipulate or game this forum.
  • The Forum Rules have also been expanded to require good faith engagement and etiquette, including a ban on spam or non-English replies.
  • Spam prevention measures have been increased, such as the setting of a new minimum character limit for replies.
  • Going forward, off-chain temperature checks (polls) will be available only to users with higher Trust Level scores.
  • Genuine users who earned higher Trust Levels will be empowered to help report and curate messages across the forum.

Thank you for your understanding and patience throughout this unusual series of events. We are happy to receive the community’s thoughts and feedback. You can also reach out on Discourse or in the Pyth Network Discord.
